Michael Angarano plays the character of Jason, who is a kung fu film enthusiast. He goes to get his favorite bootleg DVDs from Old Hop, played by Jackie Chan. A certain golden staff catches his attention. There comes in a local bully who compels the innocent Jason to aid Old Hop in a robbery act. Jason gets hold of the staff and gets transported to China in a magical fashion. Now, the adventure follows as Jason is supposed to return the staff to the Monkey King played by Li.
