This is the first directorial venture from Bertino, and the creepiness of this thriller is just fantastic. In this film you have a group of strangers who emerge late at night. Liv Tyler plays Kirsten and Scott Speedman plays James. They had been to a friend’s wedding and arrive at an isolated vacation residence in order to spend the night. They indulge into an emotional argument regarding their relationship until about four in the morning. All of a sudden they get to hear a loud knock at the door.

There is a young woman at the door. James feels she is lost and refuses to let her in. Kirsten moves though the huge house alone when James goes out to pick some cigarettes. The silence that envelops her unnerves her. She knows she is being watched and her hysterical attitude increases once James returns.
