This film is an adaptation of the classic fantasy novel written by Jules Verne. You have Brendan Fraser playing the character of scientist Trevor Anderson. Josh Hutcherson plays his nephew, Sean. Anderson uses this novel set during the 1864 as a sort of template as he refers to the notes of his missing brother. Anderson rushes to Iceland in order to explore reality of his sibling’s theories. In Iceland, they meet Hannah, the daughter of a fellow scientist played by Anita Briem. She acts as a guide for Trevor. Trevor, Sean and Hannah arrive at a cave and gradually, they reach the Center of the Earth.
They find themselves stranded beneath the earth’s crust where they encounter loads of prehistoric creatures and dinosaurs. Now, they must seek a way out to the familiar surface of the planet. The visual effects that you find in this film are a treat for the eyes.
