The story of the plot centers on Georgia, the character played by Nia Vardalos. She is a professional tour guide who has her origins in Greece, as the place of her birth and she resides in America. She is asked to take the visitors on a tour around the country of Greece. It is a strange band of tourists that Georgia has to deal with. They are not the least interested in the sites that they are visiting. Neither do they find any pleasure in knowing about the historical importance of the place. They would rather find buying a T-shirt far more interesting and exciting option. Each of these tourists differs from one another with respect to the country of origin and their individual personalities.
