The story of the movie revolves around the nineteen years old boy named Cheri. He is the son of an ex-courtesan named Charlotte Peloux. Cheri is taken to Lea, by his mother. Lea is a very popular seductress of Paris, who is thinking of retiring from her job. But Charlotte convinces her to take charge of Cheri and teach him a few things about women. While doing so, both Lea and Cheri come closer to each other and they fall in love. But as Lea is much older than Cheri and she is also a seductress, so, the society does not approve this relationship. But the couple does indulge in physical activities and they also undertake many escapades. But the future of this relationship is not known, as there are many complications in this relationship.
