This cult drama revolves around Melinda Gordon who has the unique ability to see and communicate with the spirits of dead people who need her help to cross over into death. Usually the dead have some message or task that remains undone that Melinda aids them in so the spirit may rest. She is not alone in her task, though she’s the only one who can talk with the dead, her husband, Jim and friends, Delia Banks, Rick Payne, and now Eli James know of her ability – each with differing reactions – and help her when they can. She has the support of her loved ones to help others move on to the afterlife.
