Daniel is the new Editor-in-Chief. Betty’s hired by Daniel’s father and publisher, Bradford Meade, because Betty’s the one woman Daniel won’t want to sleep with. Daniel has a reputation for being a womanizer. Betty works hard and finally wins Daniel’s respect. Together they work to fend off the schemes of Creative Director, Wilhelmina Slater, who wants Daniel’s job as Editor-in-Chief. Along the way Betty’s had to deal with personal and professional issues and learn to balance her life.
