Lie to Me is inspired by the real-life work of behavioral scientist, Paul Eckman. Dr. Cal Lightman leads a team of deception experts who work with various law enforcement agencies to get to the truth behind the lies. They work as effective human polygraph machines. Dr. Cal Lightman and his partner, Dr. Gillian Foster, a gifted psychologist, have incredible insight into human behavior. Together with the rest of their team: Ria Torres, and Elai Loker, they shine light on the deceptions. At first, the four would split into two teams to solve problems, but then they started working all together on a single case per episode. What new truths will they uncover in the new season?
