The main character of the movie is Anne Deveraux. She is married to a philandering band-leader. But Anne is not at all satisfied with her married life. She decides to leave her husband and the town with her two teen aged sons. Soon she leaves her husband and her home and travels towards the East Coast. Anne wants to find a socialite who will be prepared to take the responsibility of her and her two teenaged sons. The film presents the viewers with many opportunities to laugh their heart out, as Anne makes her way to the East Coast. There are many funny adventures and the three travelers discover their hidden strengths too. Anne and her sons also come closer as a family, and their bonding of love grows more as they try to face the unexpected events. The sons also discover that their mother has a very loving heart under her tough appearance.
