The main character of the movie is named Mark Whitacre. He is an Ivy League Ph. D and a rising name in the Archer Daniels Midland. But he turned into a whistle blower and gave away the secrets of the company in which he worked. He helped the law enforcement agencies and especially FBI by giving the information regarding the price fixing tactics that was being applied by his company. He became the highest ranked executive in the history of the United States, to turn into a whistleblower. He gathered evidences in the form of videos which ran into hundreds of hours. He handed over the videos to the FBI so that the company can be nailed. The events take place in Decatur, in Illinois, where the headquarters of the Archer Daniels Midland was located.
