This is a post apocalyptic America presented through the vision of a father and his son searching for means of successful survival against all odds. The film is due for release on November 25, 2009 and is actually an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy novel titled ‘No country for old men’. There are high expectations from this adventure thriller after the success of The Proposition, which had been directed by John Hillcoat as well. Th eother stars of The Road are Viggo Mortensen, Kodi PcPhee, Charlize Theron and Guy Peace. As the changing face of America is presented, the viewer will be sort of compelled to wonder on the actual reasons that have brought about this ultimate destruction.
In the shroud of darkness, you will find two travelers moving about in search of means that will help them to start life anew. The landscape depicts absolute ravage and the temperature is freezing cold. If there is anything moving in this dilapidated condition, it is the huge collection of ashes that bear a testimony of the once existing human civilization on this part of the world. Farther down south, the two travelers come across a group of men who have turned cannibals and are now roaming about carrying a shopping cart full of scavenged food.
