Four-time Academy Award nominee Jeff Bridges plays Bad Blake, a broke-down country music singer that has had a long list of marriages. He’s spent so much time on the road and had one too many drinks. Then Jean, played by Golden Globe nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal, discovers who the real Bad is behind the musician. The young journalist helps the alcoholic country music singer get his life back on track. The 2009 American musical drama film, Crazy Heart, is based on a novel by Thomas Cobb and directed by Scott Cooper.

In the midst of everything Bad Blake becomes the mentor of Tommy Sweet, played by Colin Farrell, a contemporary country star. Meanwhile he’s actually struggling in the rising young crooner’s shadow.
