The Tooth Fairy is set for release in theaters Friday, January 22, 2010. It is about a tough, hard-charging hockey player who one day discourages some kid’s dreams. Because of this he ends up being sentenced to a week of hard labor as the tooth fairy!! Now typically minor league hockey player Derek Thompson is known for separating his opponents from their bicuspids. And now, he’s collecting children’s teeth, hiding money under pillows in a tu-tu?! WITH wings and a magic wand!

It’s very awkward for the athlete at first as he tries to get used to maneuvering his way into strangers’ homes fulfilling his tooth fairy duties but after a while he starts to adapt. Not only does he get used to his new position, but he also rediscovers some of his own forgotten dreams. Dwayne Johnson is the “tooth fairy”, playing Derek Thompson. His is supported by Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews, Billy Crystal & Brandon T. Jackson in this 20th Century FOX comedy film. Sometimes the “tooth” hurts. Enjoy The Tooth Fairy this January!
