Last fall the controversial comedy about outsourced work in India premiered on NBC. This comedy was not-so-funny to everyone but still raised quite a few laughs. With a few racial comments and plenty of stereotyping Outsourced still depicts real life scenario of America’s many call centers located halfway across the globe. Based on an independent film of the same name, the project follows a novelty company manager who is sent to India to train and supervise a group of customer service reps. Characters like Gupta, Charlie, Asha, Manmeet, Tonya and of course co-manager Rajiv only help add flavor and humor to the sitcom. Todd is the head American manager. He has a lot to learn about the Indian culture and his subordinates have a lot to learn about the American culture. Outsourced airs every Thursday at 9:30pm EST on NBC.
